Around 40 teenagers from Tavush and Artsakh took part in the final art workshops of the “Menq & Moonq” humanitarian program held in Ijevan. Over two days, participants explored acting, photography, storytelling, and collage-making, forming new friendships along the way.
The workshops began with a hands-on photography session focused on light and shadow. In the acting class, participants engaged in improvisational scenes that helped them open up and express themselves. During the storytelling workshop, they shared folk tales and personal memories passed down from their grandparents, while also learning about oral history techniques.
The final workshop introduced Japanese origami card-making. Teens decorated their creations with heartfelt drawings and messages—featuring symbols like the Armenian flag, Mount Ararat, and colorful expressions of hope and love.
As always, the warm atmosphere fostered strong connections. Teens from Ijevan and Artsakh created social media groups to stay in touch after the event.
The Menq & Moonq program is financed by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) in partnership with Sign of Hope (SoH). The project is implemented by the Development Principles NGO.
