Eight start-up entrepreneurs from Artsakh showcased their unique products at the Goris New Year Fair on December 21, held at the Impact Hub Center in Syunik. This opportunity was part of the Menq & Moonq program’s “Support to Artsakh Businesses” initiative. Before the fair, participants completed online marketing and entrepreneurship training, where they worked on improving their projects and highlighting their strengths.
The fair featured a range of products, including dried fruit chips, pastels, hoodies, towels, bedding, baklava, pastries, and other sweets. Anna, a doll maker from Artsakh now living in Kapan, named her brand “Sose” after her hometown. She began making dolls after having her third child to support her family. Her stuffed rabbits were a hit at the fair, and thanks to the program, she learned how to promote her products on social media.
Arevik, another entrepreneur from Kapan, enhanced her business branding during the training, which helped her attract more customers. Inna Arzumanyan, a pastry chef from Krasni, Artsakh, relocated to Goris and resumed baking from home. At the fair, she sold all her business cards, showcasing the popularity of her pastries.
Nigar Sinanyan, originally from Goris but displaced from Kashatagh, reinvented her business by creating children’s clothing and linens. With guidance from the initiative, she improved her product quality and competitiveness.
The Menq & Moonq program is financed by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) in partnership with Sign of Hope (SoH). The project is implemented by the Development Principles NGO.
