“7 Paths” Interactive Self-Care Workbook – A Tool for Overcoming Crisis and Stress

On March 14, Zangak Bookstore hosted the presentation of the “7 Paths” interactive self-care workbook, developed as part of the “Menq & Moonq” humanitarian program, implemented by Development Principles NGO.

The “7 Paths” project focuses on mental health and aims to support displaced individuals from Artsakh and Armenians in general as they navigate difficult life transitions, overcome crises, adapt to new realities, and find new ways to move forward. The initiative consists of a ten-episode YouTube podcast of the same name and a free interactive self-care workbook.

Each section of the “7 Paths” workbook includes psychological exercises and guiding questions designed to help readers engage with and internalize the material more effectively. Additionally, users can write notes directly in the workbook, allowing them to reflect on their thoughts and emotions.

According to Nare Grigoryan, clinical psychologist and author of the workbook, the exercises and techniques included are specifically designed to promote psychological resilience during times of crisis:
“We intentionally kept the language simple and avoided technical jargon. Moreover, the workbook is accompanied by a podcast that provides step-by-step guidance on how to use it and support oneself through challenging periods.”

She also shared that she initially underestimated the project’s impact:
“At first, I thought we would engage only a small target group, but as the project grew, it became clear that it could serve as a valuable resource for anyone in need of psychological support.”

Anna Evdokimova, clinical psychologist and editor of the workbook, highlighted that the techniques presented are accessible to everyone, regardless of location or cultural background:
“Crises are affecting people worldwide, and in our society, the impact is even more pronounced due to the post-war reality and prolonged instability. This workbook is designed to encourage people to take the first steps in prioritizing their mental well-being.”

The “7 Paths” launch event gathered psychologists, public sector representatives, and other interested individuals, who shared their experiences working with people facing crisis situations.

Among the attendees was Tigran Dovlatyan, co-founder of the “Before and Now” Psychological Center, who emphasized the importance of the podcast:
“This is the first time I’ve seen such content available in Armenian, and I immediately recognized its significance. It’s crucial to present mental health concepts in a simple and accessible way so that people can better understand how to confront and manage their challenges.”

The “7 Paths” podcast is available on our YouTube channel, and the interactive self-care workbook can be downloaded for free here: https://shorturl.at/WFtel.
