More than 40 young people participated in two-day educational workshops in the city of Sevan

On November 16 and 17, more than 40 young people from Artsakh and the Gegharkunik region took part in two-day educational art workshops, hosted for the first time in the city of Sevan.

The workshops, centered on acting, photography, clothing design, and collage art, provided an opportunity for participants to connect and engage in meaningful exchanges. They gained both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience through practical tasks. In the acting workshop, youth from Gegharkunik and Artsakh collaborated in teams to stage various scenes. Meanwhile, the photography sessions unfolded in a vibrant and creative environment, uncovering the participants’ enthusiasm for photography and their distinct visions for capturing stunning images.

The workshops proved to be a valuable learning experience for many participants. Gohar, a 14-year-old who recently relocated from Martakert in Artsakh to the Gegharkunik region, shared that it was her first time working with a needle. To her surprise, she found it less intimidating than she had imagined. Her first beaded bracelet turned out both colorful and sturdy. At the end of the two-day event, participants proudly took home their handmade creations as meaningful keepsakes from the experience.

The Menq & Moonq program is financed by the  German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) in partnership with Sign of Hope (SoH). The project is implemented by the Development Principles NGO.
